In each of the last two years, student groups who invited controversial speakers had their forums cancelled. We want to reverse this trend.

October 2023

Months after former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines spoke on the University Park HUB lawn, it is still unclear why she was denied the ability to speak inside the building as planned. The University claimed a missed scheduling deadline. Gaines took to X to claim differently.

October 2022

The University outright canceled what was dubbed a controversial and “politically provocative comedy night.” In a statement following the cancellation, University President Neeli Bendapudi blamed both the speakers and the protestors.
